Matthew has experience with many techniques for making pottery on the wheel, decorating, mixing glazes, and firing kilns among others. Sign up for a lesson and learn from Matthew!

 

Matthew Yocom is a practicing artist and potter living in Colorado. Specializing in wheel throwing, he makes a wide range of functional wares. While attending university, he gained experience in multiple methods for making pots including electric kilns, gas reduction firing, raku, and atmospheric soda firing. This inspired him to pursue gas reduction firing for his personal practice. Currently he fires using a converted electric-to-propane kiln he built himself.
